Danish sideboard model 7738 designed by Arne Vodder in the early 1960s. The sideboard was manufactured in high-quality rosewood veneer by Skovby Møbelfabrik.
The furniture features 4 sliding doors with subtle integrated handles, behind which are 2 adjustable shelves on each. The central unit has 5 drawers with the famous sculptural, wavy fronts that Arne Vodder applied to several top models. Furthermore, both the interior and the back are finished in rosewood veneer.
This model is considered one of the strongest examples of Danish Scandinavian design from the 1960s. It combines a sleek design with exceptional craftsmanship and practical storage space.
The sideboard is in very beautiful vintage condition with only a few light signs of use in the form of small scratches that are not noticeable.
Arne Vodder belongs to the second generation of great Danish modernists, alongside designers such as Finn Juhl and Hans J. Wegner.
