Mid-century hanging lamp designed by Aloys Gangkofner for ERCO in the 1960s. The lamp consists of a plastic sphere that provides beautiful lighting.

 

Due to its simplicity, this hanging lamp fits in many interiors.

 

Aloys Ferdinand Gangkofner was born in Reichenberg (Germany) in 1920. In addition to his activities as a specialized teacher at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, he also worked as a freelance designer at the renowned Peill & Putzler as well as at ERCO Leuchten.
Several of his realized designs were awarded an IF Design Award. He also became an Honorary Member of the Academy of Fine Arts in the city of Munich, where he died in 2003.
