Rare 40th anniversary edition of the iconic PH5 pendant lamp designed by Poul Henningsen in 1958. This lamp from 1998 was given a unique grey colour and was manufactured by the renowned Danish company Louis Poulsen. It was only produced in very limited quantities at the time and has since become a collector's item.
This lamp, which only won an iF Design award in 1971, is based on the principle of a reflective multiple shade system, which creates harmonious and 100% glare-free lighting.
The lamp is in very nice vintage condition with minimal signs of use. Furthermore, the manufacturer's sticker is still present inside as a sign of authenticity.
Poul Henningsen was a Danish writer, critic, architect and designer. He is often called the first true lighting architect because he devoted a large part of his life to investigating the importance of light for well-being. He focused on creating lamps that produced glare-free lighting. His best-known lamp models are the PH Artichoke, the PH 5 and the PH Contrast lamp.
