VP Globe pendant lamp designed by Verner Panton in 1969. This futuristic lamp was manufactured by Verpan, a subsidiary of the Danish brand Frandsen Lichting.

The pendant lamp is made of a transparent acrylic globe. Inside, it features 5 polished aluminium reflectors with two accent colours (blue and red). These are held together by three steel chains.

The VP Globe is available in 3 different sizes, namely with a diameter of 28 cm, 40 cm, and 50 cm. This globe measures 40 cm in diameter.

The pendant lamp was used only once as a display model and is consequently in very good condition. The original box is also still present.

Verner Panton is regarded as one of Denmark's most influential 20th-century furniture and interior designers. During his career, he designed innovative and futuristic furniture in a wide range of materials, particularly plastics, and in bright colors.

For the production of lamps by designer Verner Panton, Verpan collaborated with Frandsen Lighting from the very beginning in 2003. Shortly thereafter, Verpan was acquired and is now a wholly owned subsidiary of the Frandsen Group with Frandsen Lighting. The close and inspiring collaboration with the designer's widow, Marianne Panton, and her family has led to a steady expansion of Verpan's Verner Panton collection.
