Swedish scale model Cobolt designed by Göte Augustsson in the 1960s. It was manufactured in thick, blue-tinted glass by Ruda Glasbruk.
The sculptural bowl has a distinctive relief pattern and an irregular, almost rock-like structure, which gives it a Brutalist character.
The bowl is in very beautiful condition and still bears the original manufacturer's label.
Göte Augustsson was an important designer for Ruda Glasbruk, which became known particularly in the 1950s and 1960s for its sculptural and heavily textured glasswork. The combination of heavy glass, organic structures, and geometric forms is characteristic of his work.
