Mid-century design wall lamps designed by Charlotte Perriand (partner of Le Corbusier) in the 1970s and manufactured by the German Honsel Leuchten.
The lamps were manufactured in various sizes, including this one of 19.5 cm. The simple but ingenious design makes these lamps a real eye-catcher.
You can of course use different types of (incandescent) lamps, but the lamp really comes into its own when you use a mirror headlight. This casts a soft light on the aluminum shell and the wall behind it.
Charlotte Perriand used these lamps in the apartments of the French ski resort 'Les Arcs'. As a visionary designer, Ze coordinated the development of this unique winter sports village for 20 years.
De wandlamp was also known for its use in the cult film 'A Clockwork Orangeby Stanley Kubrick.
The condition of the lamps can be called almost perfect and there is virtually no scratch to be found.
In short, a beautiful and stylish design lamp!
