The globe was made in the famous German globe factory of Columbus, founded by the Oestergaard family, around 1900. The cartography and topographical editing were in the hands of the cartographers Dr. R. Neuse and Carl Luther.
The globe has minor signs of wear, which is not uncommon given its age. This forms a timeless decorative piece in any type of interior
