Vintage side table designed in the 1960s by Tjerk Reijenga for the leading Pilastro brand. This table with wooden top is a rarer version, usually these are with Formica top. The beautifully stylized table legs provide a timeless design.
 
Considering its age, the table is in beautiful vintage condition and has some small signs of wear that are typical for its age (e.g. a little black paint has disappeared from the metal base).
 
Tjerk Reijengais a Dutch designer and architect who marked the design period of the 1950s with his colorful designs. That's how he designed itPilastro many coat racks, shelving and storage systems, bookshelves, etc.

One of his most famous designs is the coat stand "Scale".  Tjerk Reijenga started his career in design at the Pilastro company, where he worked between the 1950s and 1960s with other big names from the Dutch design world, such as Friso Kramer, Coen de Vries and D Van Sliedregt Today he is a world famous architect specialized in sustainable development and solar panels.
