Vintage desk lamp designed in the 1960s by J. Hoogervorst for Anvia. This is a rarer model with a base in veneer wood. The light source is very manoeuvrable because of the pendulum arm and the ball joint behind the shade.
 
The lamp is in beautiful vintage condition. There is a little bit of damage to the veneer wood (see photo), but this is not really disturbing.
 
Jan Hoogervorst is seen by many as one of the greatest Dutch "mid-century" designers. the famous fishing lamp.

On 28 September 1982 JJM Hoogervorst, barely 64 years old, deceased from an incurable disease.
