Vintage cocoon table lamp on an elegant tripod base in brass. This lamp was manufactured in the 1960s.
 
The shade, reminiscent of George Nelson's 'bubble lamp', was made using a special technology called 'spray-on fiberglass coating', a technique inspired by the silkworm. This is why the lamp is also called the cocoon lamp.
 
The lamp is in beautiful condition and provides a particularly warm light effect. The foot shows age spots, which creates a beautiful patina. The cabling was renewed with braided cable and the original switch.
 
A true eye-catcher that provides very pleasant mood lighting!
