Mid-century hanging lamp 'Octav' from the 60's designed by Niels Esmann & Hans C. Jensen. This atmospheric lamp was faded by the Danish company Nordisk Solar Company.
 
The lamp consists of several metal frames that are stacked crosswise and woven together. The light shines beautifully through the openings that this creates.
 
The model of this lamp was made by different manufacturers, each time with a different number of layers. For example, in addition to Nordisk Solar Compagni (11 layers), there was also Fog & Mørup (7 layers) and the Dutch Anvia (7 or 9 layers). The Swedish Ikea also had such a lamp (Nift) in the 1960s with barely 4 layers.
 
The lamp is in beautiful vintage condition and was fitted with new cabling, socket and ceiling cap.
