Hans J. Wegner (1914-2007), one of the most important and influential designers in history, is widely seen as a driving force in the mid-century Danish modern movement – an era that forever changed the way the world views furniture changed.
At the age of fifteen he already designed his first chair, which would eventually become more than 500. His most famous chairs include the 'Peacock chair', the 'Wishbone chair' and the 'Round chair', which was declared the most beautiful chair in the world by the American magazine 'Interiors'.
Wegner also designed beautiful cabinets, desks, tables, beds and lighting fixtures. Wegner's furniture is included in the permanent collections of the world's most respected museums. He is also the recipient of many prestigious awards making his designs consistently sought after by vintage aficionados and art collectors alike.
