Danish wall lamp 'PH Hat' (P Hat) designed in 1961 by Poul Henningsen for Louis Poulsen.
This wall lamp was originally made in 2 sizes. This concerns the large model (diameter 30 cm) that is no longer produced.
The pink inside of the lampshade provides a soft, pleasant light. The shade can be adjusted up to 67° so that the light source can be aimed directly at the wall or downwards.
The lamp is in very nice vintage condition; no dents or scratches are visible. The original manufacturer's sticker is present on the lamp as a sign of authenticity.
Poul Henningsen was a Danish writer, critic, architect and designer. He is often called the first real lighting architect because he devoted a large part of his life to researching the importance of light for well-being. He concentrated on creating lamps that produced glare-free lighting. His best-known lamp models are the PH Artichoke, the PH 5 and the PH Contrast lamp.
