This rare piece of furniture was designed in the early 1960s by Louis Van Teeffelen for the Walraven and Bevers furniture factory (Webe).

Originally designed as a dressing table, this beautiful piece of furniture can be used perfectly as a sideboard or TV furniture due to its practical size and layout. At the time marketed as furniture from the Kastrup (bedroom) series.

This sideboard is in beautiful vintage condition with only a few minor signs of wear appropriate to its age.

Louis van Teeffelen (1921-1972) is a Dutch designer who is best known for his furniture designs for furniture factory Walraven en Bevers, later called Wébé. Louis van Teeffelen was one of the most important and best-known designers there from 1955 to 1967. Unfortunately, he has April 30, 1972 died far too early.

In the fifties and sixties, Wébé grew into one of the larger furniture factories in the Netherlands. At the time it had about 150 employees and its own truck fleet. After a decline in the 1970s due to competition from low-wage countries, the company fell into decline and production ceased in the 1990s.
