Vintage hanging lamp from the 70s from the German company Peill & Putzler. This UFO-shaped lamp is made from one solid piece of mouth-blown white glass with black and red pigment. This hanging lamp with a diameter of 45 cm is part of theCirrus series.
 
The lamp is still in very nice condition and still has the original sticker from the manufacturer.
 
Peill & son was founded in 1903 and merged with Putzler (founded in 1869) in 1947, continuing under the name 'Peill + Putzler Glashüttenwerke'. Throughout its existence, the company has collaborated with both important designers and other companies such as Raak Amsterdam and Massive. At its peak (1950s) about 1500 people worked for the company. In 2004, one year after their 100th anniversary, the company was unfortunately declared bankrupt.
