Ceramic Longobarda table lamp designed by Marcello Cuneo in 1966. This lamp was made by Gabbianelli and was the first ceramic lamp to be cast in one piece.
The lamp is in very nice condition. At the bottom is the manufacturer's sticker as a sign of authenticity.
The lamp has won several awards, including the prestigious "Premio Palladio" for pioneering the use of ceramics in industrial design. It has also been exhibited in the Museum Of Modern Art (MOMA, New York).
Marcello Cuneo worked for 8 years with designer Gio Ponti. Since the 1960s, Cuneo has been a pioneer of Italian interior and industrial design, which has become known worldwide as a synonym for high-quality design.
