Beautiful mid-century tripod cocoon floor lamp from the 1970s.

The shade reminiscent of George Nelson's 'bubble lamp' was created by a special technology called 'spray-on fiberglass coating', a_cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b-158d bad_138d which is inspired by the silkworm. Because of this, the lamp is also called the cocoon lamp.

The lamp is in beautiful vintage condition and provides a very nice atmospheric light. The cabling has been renewed and is equipped with a switch. There are 2 age spots on the shade (1 of which is very small), which is certainly not unusual given the age. These are hardly noticeable when the lamp shines (see photo).

A beautiful lamp that looks very nice in any type of interior, from vintage to modern.
