Beautiful mid-century tripod cocoon floor lamp from the 1970s. The metal tripod on which the cocoon lamp is mounted has beautiful brass accents. 
 
The shade reminiscent of George Nelson's 'bubble lamp' was created by a special technology called 'spray-on fiberglass coating', a_cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b-158d bad_138d which is inspired by the silkworm. Because of this, the lamp is also called the cocoon lamp.
 
The lamp is in beautiful condition and provides a very nice mood light. There are 2 small light dents in the coating, but this is certainly not striking or disturbing.
 
A beautiful lamp that looks very nice in any type of interior, from vintage to modern.
