Vintage Dedalo umbrella stand designed by Emma Gismondi Schweinberger in 1966. This space-age icon in orange was manufactured by the world-renowned Italian company Artemide.
With its characteristic spherical shape and multiple circular openings at the top, it is a stunning example of functional design. Its minimalist elegance, reminiscent of the Italian 1960s, combined with the playfulness of the Space Age era, has captivated a wide audience.
This Dedalo is in beautiful vintage condition. It has normal signs of wear (light scratches) and a tiny crack at the bottom that has been glued and is barely visible (see photo). The umbrella stand is labeled on the bottom. The "patent pending" marking indicates that this is an early version.
Its presence in prestigious museums like MoMA underscores its cultural importance. A must-have for design classics enthusiasts.
