This industrial clamp lamp has a rare color and is in beautiful condition. On the outside it is in different shades of gray, inside in a beautiful blue. The large shade has a diameter of 28 cm. The light point is not in the center inside, which makes them quite special. The tension screws allow this studio lamp to be screwed onto the edge of a piece of furniture so that it takes up a minimum of space.

KI-E-KLAIR lamps are known for their highly functional stability, elegance and simplicity. The inscription "KI - é - KLAIR AP Déposé" can still be clearly read on the turnbuckles. The rocker switch is located at the back of the hood (see photo). A little bit of blue paint has disappeared inside the hood (see photo), but I don't think this is disturbing. Furthermore, very few signs of wear, especially considering the age.

The design is by Alphonse Pinoit, a self-taught Parisian. He opened his first workshop there in 1934, after which he moved to Asnieres-Sur-Seine just before World War II. His trademark became these characteristic work lights that were ideal for precision work. This made it a sought-after lamp among, for example, architects. These lamps could also be found in the offices of, among others, Jean Prouvé, a French self-taught architect, and furniture and industrial designer.

Dimensions are 43 cm (first arm), 20 cm (Flex arm), 28 cm (shade diameter). When extended, it has a height of approximately 80 to 85 cm. Fitting is a bayonet fitting for which LED lamps are commercially available. Weight is about 1.42 kg.
