A pair of footed candlesticks designed in the 1960s by Fritz Nagel in collaboration with the architect/artist Werner Stoff. These chrome-plated metal candlesticks were manufactured by the German company BMF ( Bavarian Metalware Factory ).
The design is known for its modular, creative form, which allows for various sculptural combinations by stacking or arranging multiple pieces. This lot is a beautiful example of such a sculpture, making it more of a work of art than a utilitarian object.
The set consists of 16 candlesticks, two bowls, and a pedestal from 1974. In addition, there are two very rare Nagel vases. Because the set is modular, it can always be reshaped or even expanded.
All parts are in nice condition with a light patina here and there.
