Set of 6 Model S3 chairs designed by Alfred Hendrickx in 1952. These iconic pieces of seating were manufactured at the time by Belform, known for its high quality.
 
Partly due to the sculptural, organic design of the black lacquered wooden frame, these chairs undoubtedly form a beautiful eye-catcher.
 
The chairs have been professionally reupholstered, placing them in very beautiful condition.
 
Alfred Hendrickx holds an important place in Belgian furniture history. He belongs to the generation of designers who helped break Belgian furniture design away from more traditional styles after 1945, and he also represents the modernist renewal of that period.
