This lamp called 'Eclisse' was designed in 1965 by Victor Magistretti for Artemide. The design won the Compasso d'Oro Award in 1967 and became worldwide ambassador of Italian design.

This lamp strikes a fine balance between form and function, design and practicality. The light source can be partially or completely hidden with a rotating screen, depending on how much light you want. This creates the effect of a solar eclipse or 'Eclipse' (Eclisse). The lamp can also be mounted on the wall.

The lamp is in beautiful vintage condition; there are hardly any scratches to be found, only a small dent at the back that is barely visible.

Eclisse is part of the permanent collection of the most important design museums, including the MoMa in New York and the Triennale Design Museum in Milan.
