Table lamp with the model name 'Kibo' manufactured by Peill & Putzler in the 1980s. This lamp has a brass-coloured base with a cone-shaped glass shade.
 
The lamp is in beautiful condition and has hardly any signs of wear. The original manufacturer's sticker is also still present.
 
Peill & son was founded in 1903 and merged with Putzler (founded in 1869) in 1947, continuing under the name 'Peill + Putzler Glashüttenwerke'. Throughout its existence, the company has collaborated with both important designers and other companies such as Raak Amsterdam and Massive. At its peak (1950s) about 1500 people worked for the company. In 2004, one year after their 100th anniversary, the company was unfortunately declared bankrupt.
