Scandinavian wall system 'System Cado' in teak designed in 1960 by the Danish designer Poul Cadovius. The idea behind this groundbreaking concept was to move the furniture from the floor to the wall, creating more space in the room. All modular parts can be moved very easily.
The wall system consists of
- 3 shelves including brackets
- 1 display cabinet with sliding glass doors and shelves
- 1 bar cabinet with bottle holder and 2 drawers
- 1 chest of drawers with 4 drawers
- 1 cabinet with sliding doors and shelf (46 cm depth)
- 1 cabinet with sliding doors and shelf (38 cm depth)
- 3 wall panels
The furniture with beautiful details is made of quality wood and verkeerd in beautiful vintage condition. Here and there signs of use are visible which are typical for the age but not disturbing.
Poul Cadovius (1911 - 2011) was one of the most colorful and successful people in the history of the Danish furniture industry. After training as an upholsterer, he quickly became interested in design and founded his own furniture factory Royal System in 1945.
As an exceptional entrepreneur and innovator, he earned more than 400 patents during his long career.
