Beautiful ceramic tile with a fragment from Disney film 'Bambi'.
 
This tile was manufactured by Herbert Thiele (Sundern, Germany) in 1958. This manufacturer had obtained the patent with the approval of Walt Disney Productions for the manufacture of ceramic tiles with images of Disney characters. Examples of figures used were Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Bambi, Snow White & the 7 Dwarfs, Lady & the Tramp, etc.
 
The tile has signs of wear in the form of craquelure and 3 places where there is a small piece of the glaze (see photos).
 
Bambi appeared in 1942 and was the fifth full-length animated film by Disney.
