Beautiful 'Mushroom' floor lamp from the Dutch brand Gepo (Amsterdam), designed in the 1960s.
 
The beautifully colored lampshade with 2 lamps inside (E-27 fitting) provides atmospheric lighting. The remarkable and playful thing about this floor lamp is that the shade is adjustable in height. The aluminum base with cast iron inside ensures that it is stable. By means of the foot switch you can easily switch the lamp on and off.
 
The lamp is in beautiful vintage condition. The cover shows some small scratches that are not really noticeable, but there is no crack or deformation anywhere. The pedestal has light signs of wear that are typical of its age, but nothing disturbing here either (see photos).
 
Gepo NV was founded in 1965 by theGEbrothersPOsthuma. Starting with a starting capital of about 35 euros (borrowed from their mother), the 4 brothers realized a turnover of about 1 million euros just 7 years later. Not much later, in the early 1980s, the company stopped.
