Cocoon table lamp from the 60's with a foot in teak wood.
The shade reminiscent of George Nelson's 'bubble lamp' was created by a special technology called 'spray-on fiberglass coating', a_cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b-158d bad_138d which is inspired by the silkworm. Because of this, the lamp is also called the cocoon lamp.
The lamp is in beautiful vintage condition and provides a very beautiful atmospheric light. There are 2 light age spots on the back of the tulip-shaped kap. These are hardly noticeable when the lamp shines (see photo) and given the age this is certainly not uncommon.
A beautiful lamp that looks very nice in any type of interior, from vintage to modern.
